inked is a self-initiated editorial project exploring the intersection of contemporary culture, fashion, art, and contradiction. Inspired by independent magazines such as Purple, i-D, and Garage, the project experiments with how meaning, narrative, and emotion can be constructed through curation rather than commission. For this issue - “The Trashy Issue” - I developed the full concept, editorial structure, creative direction, and visual narrative. The theme plays on the dual meaning of trashy: both as a reference to real, urgent issues such as pollution and plastic waste, and as a commentary on how fashion and culture can oscillate between refinement and excess.

Rather than producing original photography, I intentionally curated imagery from Unsplash, treating it as an open visual archive. By reframing existing images through sequencing, typography, and editorial context, the project explores how authorship and storytelling can emerge from curation itself.
